Bullet Planner by Scribbles That Matter
I am a long time paper planner user and an Erin Condren devotee until a friend introduced me to bullet journaling. I LOVED it because it was SO flexible....but when I
hit the first week that I didn't complete the weekly spread, everything fell apart. All you bullet journal junkees...don't judge. I will get there at some point, but
some of us need a little more hand holding. I needed the ability to stay organized even when I didn't have time to draw out my week...and yes, I LIKE having the week drawn
out because I am very visual and the week laid out is very easy for me to see instead of just a list. So I wanted a planner that had plenty of dot grid pages, preferably
numbered, but had a really flexible, pre-printed weekly and monthly spread. I looked at a LOT of solutions before finally settling on Scribbles that Matter V2 Bullet Planner.

What I love is that the designers of this planner really listened to their user base and adjusted accordingly from their first version. Is it perfect for everyone? No.
That is impossible! But this comes very close to what I envisioned for my perfect planner.
The things I love: Slim profile but enough dot grid and weekly and monthly spreads to get you through a year, B5 size, so not tiny and not huge - perfect for my needs and for carrying around,
numbered pages (after the first month) and dot grid pages spread before and after the month pages and weeklies so that there is plenty of space to get creative. The months and weeks aren't defined,
so you can start whenever you want and not waste space AND start your week on Sunday or Monday - your choice. I also love that the future log is preprinted and that there is a doodle-able storage
case for the planner - a blank slate to make of it what you will.
The things I wish were different: slightly thicker paper - I'm a doodler and aspiring Modern Calligrapher and some of my darker pens are showing through sometimes. I'd also like more space - I
have two boys - a teen and a tweener with conflicting schedules AND a busy schedule of my own and the columns for the days in the week don't really give me enough space to write two people's appointments
if they overlap, which they often do.
The price is more reasonable than the Erin Condren planners, but higher than some others I've seen. It's pretty comparable to the A5 Leuchturm A5 bullet journal notebook.
The Gist
Bottom line - This really checked all the boxes for me on paper with just a couple of minor changes needed to make it exactly what I was looking for. Time will tell if the space
issue is going to be a deal breaker for me and send me back to Erin Condren. I'm not ready to give up yet, though. The Scribbles that Matter team have really done such a great job trying
to accommodate a number of different styles - and this is only V2! I'm excited to see where they end up for 2021!
