- THE FERRO ROD: The Ferro Rod is extremely thick, and allows for up to 20,000 strikes. Manufactured using our blend of Forest Fundamentals Ferrocerium which produces large showers of molten sparks at 3,000 C (5,500 F), but we were also careful not to make the rods too soft to ensure longevity. The Ferro Rod is removable.
- TINDER: The Parrafin Wax Infused Jute Wicks are extremely slow burning (30 minutes burn-time). The wicks do not extinguish in high winds and will ignite even after being submerged in water. Also ideal for longer expeditions, where conserving resources and packing lightweight is essential. With preparation, just 1 of the wick is needed. To extinguish, simply pull the wick back inside the bellows. The wicks can also be replaced.
- THE CASE | FIRE BELLOWS: Everything is secured within a sleek, lightweight anodized aluminum sleeve. The sleeve stays cool to the touch and also doubles as a micro pocket below.
