My husband bought me the Dyson Cool oscillating fan as a Christmas gift. I just can't seem to stay cool enough anymore without a fan going at night.

The design is sleek, and the motor is in the base, so this would have been the perfect fan when we had little kiddos in the house - no fan blades! It's also very quiet - I think that is due to the fewer exposed moving parts. The hoop part of the fan can be adjusted up or down on the pole that connects it to the motor, allowing you to adjust the height and the hoop itself can be angled up, down, or anywhere in between.

A remote allows you to turn the unit on and off as well as stop and start the oscillating motion, or turn the speed up or down. I have it set at 3 which is perfect for keeping me cool at night but we tried out the setting 10 and it moved quite a bit of air! Too much for me, in fact- I had to turn it back down.

Bottom line - sleek, functional fan with remote and adequate power to move air, and no blades to worry about getting dusty or grabbing onto little fingers.
