- This Optic mount is designed to connect certain red dot optics to 1911 pistols with Novak(does NOT fit Novak OVERSIZE) rear sight cut. One of the advantage of this ADE plate over others is this optic plate has a CURVED/CONCAVED design that will sit flush(wrap the top curved pistol slide) on the top of the pistol. Many other plates are Flat design.
- 1911s have several different rear sight dovetail cuts, such as Colt(G.I.) Standard, LPA, Novak standard/traditional and Novak Oversize rear sight. This ADE Optic Plate made by ADE is for Novak Standard/traditional rear sight ONLY. It does NOT fit any 1911 that does NOT has a traditional Novak rear sight.
