The Stage 3 L83 Camshaft is the perfect mix of power and drivability for those who want to stretch their L83's legs out in the mid-upper RPM band and turn heads in parking lots. With the Stage 3 you will get a choppy idle tone and a broad powerband. A 2800+ stall torque converter is recommended for best drivability and performance in a 5.3L. The Stage 3 L83 Camshaft requires the use of a 4* VVT Phaser limiter block to maintain proper piston to valve clearance.

From toy haulers to trucks turned street rods, their Gen V truck cam lineup has an answer for your needs. All BTR L83 camshafts come with VVT Target Angle table specs on the cam card, making it easy for your tuner to quickly dial in the VVT function for the best powerband possible.
Choose Camshaft Only which oncludes only the BTR Stage 3 L83 Camshaft by itself (please remember a valve spring upgrade and a phaser limiter are necessary for installation).
